Building on the progress you've made from Programming & Electronics Basics 1, you will continue on your journey into the world of electronics and programming in this course... Summary of curriculum: Day 1- You´ll learn how to use a servo motor to create a simple sports robot. You’ll program the robot to be controlled by you to hit, kick, or throw a ball. You will learn about: * Using Libraries * Magnetic Fields * Capacitors * Constants * Map Functions * Measure Performance Day 2- You’ll continue to work with a servo to create a circuit that simulates a windshield wiper. You will learn about: * Switch-Case * Loops * Pseudocode * For and While * Organize Steps * Improve Usability * Logical Order Day 3- You’ll use a simple electronic component called a piezo buzzer to produce the sound by causing it to vibrate. You’ll investigate the relationship between the speed that the buzzer vibrates and the pitch of the sound. You will learn about: * Arrays * Sound Wave Period * Nested Conditional Statements * Frequency * Resistor Ladder Day 4- You’ll use your Arduino board and a device called a phototransistor to investigate electromagnetic waves – specifically visible light. You’ll explore some of the applications of detecting and measuring light such as communication and radar technologies. You will learn about: * Phototransistors * Transmissions * Reception * Functions * Using the Serial Monitor * Electromagnetic Energy * Displaying Data from Variables * Organize code for reuse * Simple Circuits * Electronic Measurements Day 5- You/Your team will design, build, and program a climate-control system for a greenhouse. This is an open- ended project, which means it is up to you to decide how your greenhouse system operates. You’ll need to use the concepts you’ve learned in the previous lessons to complete the project. You will learn about: * Temperature Sensors * Solve a challenge * Critical Thinking * Collaboration * Presenting results * Reuse existing code * Simplify code * Measure Performance
