Custom DIY Hoist Elevator

Bill R.

This project was a custom job site elevator that we designed and built from scratch using an electric hoist and a simple, yet effective design. We needed a solution to bring pressure washing equipment and 120 5-gallon buckets of roofing sealer onto the roof of a warehouse that we were hired to clean and seal. That's why we decided to create this DIY hoist-powered elevator, which can be built for under $1000, including the hoist.

The best part is, we're offering free plans for anyone who wants to build their own hoist-powered elevator. Simply visit our website at to access the plans. They include a detailed list of materials and step-by-step instructions, making it easy for any DIY enthusiast to follow along and create their own custom elevator. Plus, it can be easily disassembled and reassembled for use at a different location or even installed permanently in a workshop or home to easily transport equipment and materials from one floor to another without breaking your back.
